Luxene is a technology company based in Eindhoven, in the heart of the Brainport region. We bring together people with different backgrounds and expertise, united by the ambition to challenge conventional thinking and turn new ideas into meaningful solutions.
Making road markings intelligent.
Road markings have always helped road users find their way. At Luxene, we believe their potential goes further. We combine road-integrated optical technology with digital control to develop active and increasingly intelligent road markings. Orientation lighting is our first application, and the foundation for expanding what road markings can do.

Vision
To inspire a world where orientation lighting keeps people safe, without disturbing nature or wasting energy.
We measure progress by how usable a place feels at night, not by how much light is installed.
It also decides what we leave out. Light belongs where it earns its place, in the landscape and in the energy it takes.
Mission
We restore orientation and confidence in places where conventional lighting is limited, using intelligent, laser-powered fiber systems to deliver clear, continuous guidance.
Orientation is what people rely on at night: knowing where the road goes and where its edges are. Where conventional lighting stops, that certainty is lost.
So we start there. Our work is measured by whether guidance stays clear and continuous, and by whether we can explain exactly how it does.
Our values
Progress starts with asking whether things could work differently. We look beyond established approaches and bring different perspectives together to explore new possibilities.
For us, that means giving ideas room to develop, testing assumptions and turning curiosity into solutions that make sense in the real world.
Good engineering is not about adding more. It is about understanding what matters and removing what does not, without losing the care and precision behind a solution.
We aim for clarity in what we build, how we explain it and how we work together — making complex technology understandable and practical to use.
Ideas only become meaningful when someone takes responsibility for moving them forward. We believe in taking initiative, following through and caring about the outcome, not just our own part of the work.
That means being open about challenges, learning from mistakes and working together to take the next step — from an early idea to its application in practice.
Lasting collaboration depends on honesty and reliability. Trust grows when expectations are clear, people can speak openly and commitments are followed through.
We aim to be transparent about what we know, what still needs testing and what we can deliver. We listen carefully and treat the expertise of colleagues, customers and partners with respect.
